This is a short winter ride to a warm cafe for lunch. Route begins at Dinosaur Playground on Riverside Dr at 97th St. Take the Greenway to the Denny Farrell bicycle/pedestrian bridge and on up to the GW. Mind the rough road on Henry Hudson Dr (aka River Rd) as you look at the scenery through leafless trees. After a pit stop at Alpine Barracks, take 9W south to the Esplanade and descend a couple of "the Presidents" down to Hillside and the town of Cresskill for lunch at the Farmhouse Cafe & Eatery. Their large menu has something for everyone and there's great bike parking on an outdoor patio with indoor and outdoor seating where bikes are visible while you eat. You still have one more climb to get home (Next Day Hill...have you ever done it?) but the lovely homes will distract you while you climb. Ride ends on NY side of the GW Bridge. If you're too cold to ride anymore, the A train is right there.
