This route explores historic Closter, taking in 8 historic markers (most with their historic buildings still visible) plus two small but very old cemeteries. In order to approach each marker on the right side of the road, there's some to-ing & fro-ing and a U-turn, but you will get to know all those historic places you normally fly by. The two cemeteries are very interesting, the first having several Revolutionary War heroes. There are various lunch options in Closter, but the author's favorite is Patisserie Florentine.
