This ride is a scenic meander through the far reaches of Queens into the Five Towns region of Nassau County, including the villages of Lawrence, Cedarhurst, Woodmere, Inwood and The Hewletts). The views of waterfront and enormous mansions alongside exclusive private communities make for a very scenic experience. Pickup lunch in a deli in Hewlett and picnic next to Grant Pond in the park a few blocks away. On the return, circle through quiet residential areas of Hewlitt Harbor, Woodmere, and Lawrence before heading back to Queens. There are good pit stops on this route (Dunkin’ Donuts at mile 8, lunch mile 22, Gas Station pit at mile 36). LIRR bail options are fairly frequent and include Malverne, East Rockaway, Centre Ave, Hewlitt, Floral Park and other spots.
